PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 02, 2011 – Flytouch 3 or Superpad II? This is not the real question. "Why is this not the million dollar question?" You may ask.
Well the Flytouch3 and Superpad 2 are the same machine, just different monikers. In the past there were two manufacturers of the same Android 2.1 GPS Tablet PC (a.k.a. Apad, Epad, iPed, iPad Clone) - Gome Electronics and Superpad who made the Flytouch2 and Superpad 1st gen respectively.
"So, who makes the Flytouch 3? Is my Flytouch 3 Real? " Shortly after the Feb 1st 2011 release of the iBex Flytouch3 several forums doubted that there could really be a 10-inch android 2.2 Froyo tablet pc. This was because android 2.2 needed at least 512mb DDR to run Froyo, yet Gome never released a 512mb 10" tablet.
The 2nd source of confusion arose because of the myth that people thought that Gome made the Flytouch 3. iBex, also maker / manufacturer of the iBex Facepad makes the genuine Flytouch3.
Now, that we have gone through the history of the name, 2nd and 3rd generations, and have dispelled the myth that there is no real Fly touch 3, we will delve into some of the specifications and review of this mammoth of a GPS Epad Tablet.
The first thing you notice when you handle the Superpad 2 is the superior build quality of the casing and the plush buttons, compared to a ZT-180-2 (a.k.a. Zenithink 2).
The Superpad2 (Superpad 2 FlyTouch3) comes with Google Android 2.2 Froyo. From heavy initial use over a period of two days I have found this to be an excellent stable build on this tablet. Google Android Market works perfectly, and enables quick and easy installation of Froyo Apps and Games on the fly with little user interaction.
To start off my testing I decided to look through the games on the Google Market and quickly installed the new edition of Angry Birds Rio. Already being fairly addicted to Angry birds on the iPad I was interested to see how the 700 USD iPad, Xoom, or Galaxy Tab, would compare to Angry Birds on this 2.2 Froyo Tablet PC.
Right away I was quite shocked at how fluid and smooth Angry Birds Rio was playing on the Superpad, and started imaging just how many iPad users could have saved themselves hundreds of bucks by not bothering to buy an iPad to get their "Angry Birds Rio download." This free download of Angry Birds Season and Angry Birds Rio is available via the www.apad.tv support website for the Flytouch3 by the way. In a nutshell Angry Birds plays perfectly on the Superpad 2, awesome!
